Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care at ALG - Australian Learning Group (formerly 4Life College) will prepare you for a child care career and you will graduate with a nationally recognised qualification. You will build on the existing skills and knowledge acquired in Certificate III, however, direct entry into this Diploma is also possible.

What will you learn at the Australian Learning Group?

ALG provides a real “hands-on” experience. This Childcare diploma course gives students deeper skills and a better understanding of pedagogical practices and also boosts their confidence to lead a team. The Australian Learning Group focuses on creating engaging learning experiences and curriculum designs for children that are fun, educationally guided, and linked to the Early Years Learning Framework.

This course includes a Work Placement of 280 hours to be completed in an approved early childhood learning centre. The college will assist you in finding a work placement employer.​ Upon graduation, you may be eligible for the 485 Graduate Visa with full-time work rights (conditions apply; contact us for a free migration agent assessment).

Outcomes of the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care:

• Workers qualified at a Diploma level are primarily employed child care educators in an early learning centre or occasional day centres in a room leader or management role. They could also be employed as a nanny.
• A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care in addition to the Diploma qualification.
• Preparation for further study and vocational skills with the development of study and research skills, language and literacy skills, communication skills, time management, planning and managing projects, interpersonal skills, and the development of techniques.
• Additional outcomes include the attainment of a First Aid Certificate
