Certificate IV in Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising at Duke College covers the skills and knowledge required to work as assistant designers, merchandising assistants and specialist production technicians, such as patternmakers and sewing machinists, who support design and production within the clothing and fashion industry.
Teaching is conducted in the classroom as well as in the fashion training room (simulated industry environment). The delivery will include face to face teaching, lectures, discussions, research, learning activities, group work, and supervised practical sessions.
Students undertaking this course will also have access to our fashion room.
