Important Update: Student Visa Processing Times – December 2024
The Australian Government has introduced a new Ministerial Direction, No. 111. Under this directive, each Student visa application is assessed based on whether the school the applicant is enrolling in has reached 80% of its capacity allocation.
- If the school has not reached 80% capacity: The Student visa application is processed under Priority 1.
- If the school has reached 80% capacity: The application will be processed more slowly under Priority 2.
Even under Priority 1, we recommend applying at least 8 weeks before your course starts. If you believe your school is nearing full capacity, lodge your application at least 16 weeks in advance.
